About the BuildShare Project

The BuildShare project will construct six affordable housing units on nonprofit-owned lots in the Lower 9th Ward — addressing the urgent housing crisis, improving residents' health and well-being, and fostering community resilience.

BuildShare builds on NENA's proven track record: we have already developed 10 affordable homes in this neighborhood. The project includes a comprehensive budget, timeline, and strategic partnerships to see it through to completion.
